About Me

I’m James Leach, 20 years-old and currently in my final year at Staffordshire University studying Music Journalism and Broadcasting; expecting a First Class degree.

I’m a passionate and dedicated journalist that has the skills to write about more than just music and entertainment, which is what I am specifically trained in.

I can confidently use programmes such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign which I have used many times during my time at Staffordshire University. I am also a confident on using both Audacity and Adobe Audition to edit audio.

In October 2015 I resigned as a journalist at an American based music website called Musicholics4U after 16 months. During my time there I completed over 150 articles for the site including press releases, reviews (singles, album, gigs) and features which often became the most visited on the whole site.

While being at Staffordshire University I co-presented a genre based radio show on OMG, the student radio station, where I was taught how to use the radio desks and how to operate Myriad. In November my show was part of a 48 hour live broadcast which took place to raise money for Children In Need.

In January 2016 I started volunteering at Gaydio where I am part of the radio documentary team.
